An ISIS force of 50 are driving hard toward the village of Al Quanaytra on the Syrian, Israeli border. A town that was destroyed in the 1977 war. The north of the town is being rebuild while the southern part of town is still in ruins (we used the MBA board and buildings which were used to great advantage in the ruined end of the village in the destroyed mode.)

Village defending forces were 12 Police with 2 vehicles, 12 man Syrian Army Patrol in 3 vehicles and 15 armed civilians.

Relief Force 3 IDF squads in 3 M113s 37 troops

Scenario: Village police find out on very short notice ISIS is on the way to their village. They send out a plea for help. A Syrian army patrol happens to be in the town. Syrians have choice of side to join.
Missions:
Syrian police, civilians and army hold their village and survive.
ISIS enter and hold ruined area subdue or enlist village folk.
Israel make ISIS retreat out of village or destroy them all.

Game 1 Thursday 8 players

View from Israeli end of board, end of move 2, Syrian Patrol takes up position in ruined buildings, Israeli troops move up both roads, Lead ISIS and Israeli's open up with Heavy MG's on Right side of board. Police and civilians tell ISIS to pass through but intend to attack their rear. Please note Humvee's on Israeli side are M113 I could not finish painting the M113's by convention.

Aftermath of  heavy MG exchange between 2 Israeli M113 and 2 technical's with heavy MG's, M113 were not penetrated.

Civilians and Police take up positions to shoot at ISIS troops.

Syrian Army holds up in ruins and Israeli fire teams move up to take up firing positions.

When time ran out the Syrian Army had stayed in ruins, Israeli troops had entered the southern part of the built up area and had taken light casualties and scored some good damage on the ISIS troops. The real surprise was the player controlling the police and civilians both held up and did a lot of Damage to ISIS. By unanimous decision of his co-players he was declared MVP and won the Stan Johansen Miniatures Gift Certificate.

Game 2 Saturday 2PM same scenario as game 1. 9 players

Sorry no Photos camera malfunctioned.
In this game ISIS decided to go after the village folk in spite of their mission to secure ruined end of village. The village folk and Syrian army patrol engaged them in a vicious fight with high casualties on both sides, by the time the Israeli troops arrived in the built up area of town and started to do damage to ISIS. ISIS decided to retreat and so the win went to Israel, as did the Gift Certificate.

Thanks to all the players.

And thanks to my wife Janice for taking care of the booth while I ran the games.
